College Department, secured multiple recognitions during the 24th Regional Higher Education Press Conference The Gleaner, the official student publication of Republic Central Colleges (RCC) – College Department, secured multiple recognitions during the 24th Regional Higher Education Press Conference held at Palm Cabanas Resort from February 11 to 13, 2026. The publication garnered 3rd Place in Magazine Best News Page and Magazine Best Feature Page, 4th Place in Magazine Best Cover Design, 5th Place in Magazine Best Sports Page, 9th Place in Magazine Best Editorial & Opinion Pages, and 9th Place in Magazine Best Page Design. It also placed 5th in Literary Folio Best Cover Design and ranked Overall 10th Place, Best Magazine in Central Luzon. In the individual category, Deneil D. Datu, Associate Editor, clinched 5th Place in Development Communication Writing (Filipino). Meanwhile, Rikki Mari C. Maghinang, Head Layout Artist, was recognized as the newly elected Angeles City Division Coordinator of the Young Journalists Association of Region 3. Further bringing honor to the institution, Robb Gabriel I. Basco, Editor-in-Chief, was named Regional Outstanding Tertiary Campus Journalist of Central Luzon.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐏𝐂 The Gleaner, the official student publication of the College Department of Republic Central Colleges, will be participating in the 24th Regional Higher Education Press Conference on February 11-13, 2026.The publication entered two group events: magazine and literary folio. This marks its third year of participating in the same group events, with its last magazine ‘Excelsior’ placing 10th overall in Region III.More entries are expected to be submitted today at Republic Central Colleges Main Campus as the deadline for submission of group entries is set until 11:59 p.m.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐠-𝐮𝐰𝐢 𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐉𝐏𝐅𝐂 Tarlac City— Nagwagi ng iba’t ibang parangal ang The Gleaner, opisyal na pahayagang pangmag-aaral ng Republic Central Colleges (RCC), sa 4th Young Journalists Press Freedom Conference (YJPFC) na idinaos sa Tarlac State University–Lucinda Campus nitong ika-29 ng Agosto.Nakamit ng publikasyon ang ikatlong puwesto sa pangkalahatang ranggo ng A-LIST Mobile Journalism Video contest.Nakuha rin nito ang ikaapat na puwesto sa Best in Sports, ikapito sa Best in Opinion, at ikasiyam sa parehong Best in News/Reports at Best in Editorial para sa A-LIST E-Magazine.Nagwagi rin ang mga indibidwal na kalahok mula RCC.Si Russel Guntang ay nagtamo ng ikatlong puwesto sa Best Literary Graphics Entry, habang si Renzford Allen D. Esguerra ay ikapito sa Best Sports Entry. Si Frincess Marystel L. Dayrit ay ika-walo sa Best Feature Entry, at sina Robb Gabriel I. Basco, Kelly Satchel E. Valerio, at Jan Rei C.
