Robb Gabriel I. Basco, editor-in-chief of The Gleaner of Republic Central Colleges, received his award as one of Central Luzon’s Regional Outstanding Tertiary Campus Journalists (OTCJ) on February 12, 2026, during the 24th Regional Higher Education Press Conference at Palm Cabanas Resort in Arayat, Pampanga.

Basco stood as the only awardee from the Angeles City division in this year’s OTCJ search, organized by the Association of Tertiary School Paper Advisers of Region III Inc. (ATSPAR III Inc.), which recognizes exemplary tertiary campus journalists across the region for leadership, journalistic excellence, service, and community involvement.

This year’s press conference included a total of 615 delegates and 42 campus publications.
